Every parent of a disabled child knows the essay "Welcome to Holland". It gives a basic insight into how life changes when your child is disabled. As much as I agree with it, today I found this that Dana Nieder has written, "Amsterdam International". It is about how you enter Holland, and the difficulties you encounter before you even get to Holland. And it's very true.
Please take the time to drop in and read it. If you don't live with a child with a disability, it may give you an insight into how those of us who do, really feel.
About Me

- Welcome to my blog. Thanks for dropping in. I am Lisa, I have been married to Chris for almost 9 years now, and we have two gorgeous girls, Eloise and Tabitha who are 8 and 6. Tabitha has a rare genetic disorder called Langer-Giedion syndrome (aka TRPS type II), which causes numerous health and developmental problems for her, but she is still a happy little girl and makes us smile all the time. I enjoy crafting, and have a rapidly expanding amount of crafting goodies, with not enough space to store them all! Contact me at lisa.seriousstamper@gmail.com
Wow, always struggled with the Holland thing. Never quite summed up for me the massive change it really is. This does. I will blog this too and I have also left a comment for Dana.
