About Me

Welcome to my blog. Thanks for dropping in. I am Lisa, I have been married to Chris for almost 9 years now, and we have two gorgeous girls, Eloise and Tabitha who are 8 and 6. Tabitha has a rare genetic disorder called Langer-Giedion syndrome (aka TRPS type II), which causes numerous health and developmental problems for her, but she is still a happy little girl and makes us smile all the time. I enjoy crafting, and have a rapidly expanding amount of crafting goodies, with not enough space to store them all! Contact me at lisa.seriousstamper@gmail.com

Birthdays!

Today was my nephew's birthday. He is now 3, and getting to be a grown up little boy. I made him a card and some tags to go on his presents. Here they are.

We spent the day at my Mum's house with the birthday boy, and little Rosie, my niece and had a lovely time. Ellie loved playing with Alfie and Chantelle (my mum's little girl), and Tabitha roamed around doing what she does. It was very good to be out of the house though, as the girls need a lot less entertaining when they are somewhere different.
Then, when I got home I found this.

A fabulous new Stampin' Up! set that I bought second hand on eBay. Called Terrific Tags, and will go brilliantly with my punches. Can't wait for a chance to use them!

Big Bold Birthday again...

On Tuesday it's my Brother-in-law's birthday, so I thought I'd better get on with making him a card. To be honest, like a lot of people, I struggle with male themed cards. Female cards are so much easier to do, a bit of pink, lilac, light blue, and you're done, but male cards are much more tricky. Anyway, as I have just got the Big Bold Birthday set, I decided to use that again, and came up with this.

I was quite pleased with how it came out. I used Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie and Creamy Caramel ink for the cupcake and the sentiment, and Old Olive ink on the Old Olive cardstock for the background. My scalloped edge punch got an outing, as did the two oval punches.
As always, comments are welcomed. x
